修課規定 Regulations for Course Selection

適用對象: 108學年度入學學士班學生適用
身分設定:

選課系統/英文領域課程由學校依入學管道之英文科考試成績設定修課身分。

*入學管道沒有學測或指考成績的學生,由英語教育中心另訂分級方式。

修課身分查詢: 英文領域課程修課身分確定後,學生的修課身分類別由學校依入學管道之英文科考試成績進行設定,學生可至校務資訊系統的基本資料及畢業學分審查表中查詢。
(校務資訊系統->個人資料維護->基本資料)

應修學分數: 除進階生應修習英文領域課程4學分外,其餘所有學生英文領域修課學分數為8學分,包括必修課程4學分及選讀課程4學分。各級身分類別應修習學分數及課程如修課規定所示。
修課規定: 各身分類別學生之修課學分規定及修課課程類別如下表。

修課身分類別變更與轉級申請:

學生修課後自覺對課程深度不適者,可向英語教育中心提出修課身分類別變更申請(進階生的異動除外),申請方式如下:

(一) 僅限曾修習過一門英文必修課者才能申請,採書面申請方式,在校期間僅能申請一次,由英語教育中心進行審查。通過審查者,其過去修畢且及格的英文領域課程學分將全數承認。
(二) 學生另可透過加簽方式申請向上修習級數較高的課程(不含進階英文),畢業學分審查時承認向上級數修課的課程學分數,但仍須滿足必修課程4學分及選修課程4學分要求。

選讀英文課程科號與課程認定:

選讀英文課程可修習英語教育中心開設的科號LANG開頭2字頭課程、通識中心、外語系、英教系及本校專業系所開設且於備註欄標示「107學年度(含)起入學者可承認為選讀英文課程學分」者,皆可採計為本校英文領域課程選讀學分。

各課程的修課次序建議:

入學後第一年先修習英文必修課程,完成後再修習英文選讀課程。

Regulations for Course Selection

  1. The course regulations apply to students enrolled in the academic year 2019/2020 (Excluding Department of Foreign Languages and Literature and Department of English Instruction students).
  2. “Freshman English Placement” is assigned based on the English Score/Percentile Rank (PR) of the General Scholastic Ability Test (GSAT). 
  3. To inquire the Freshman English Placement, check from Personal Information or Graduation Verification in the NTHU Academic Information System.
  4. With the Freshman English Placement, students refer to the table below for the corresponding course scheme.

  1. Application for Freshman English Placement Adjustment:
    If students feel the English course doesn't fulfill students' level can apply to the Center for English Education to adjust their Freshman English Placement.

  2. Courses that can be verified as an elective English course:
    Elective English courses include courses offered by Center for English  Education (with course number LANG 2), General Education, Department of Foreign Languages and Literature, Department of English Instruction and other departments marked with “Admitted as Elective English Course Credits for undergraduates enrolled since Fall 2018”.
  3. Suggestion for students to take the courses:
    The freshmen are strongly advised to take the English courses with course number LANG1 first.
